Grace of swans
toiling to stay
beautiful in
the heat of
suns that steal
their blood
Thickening as it dries
A fine family man
wrestles with that
dilemma of do or do not
and what drops from
the sky is poison
Too old to be a waitress
seducing herself while
smoking a cigarette
and losing faith in
righteous conviciton
Wanting to feel good
and feeling guilty for it.
