Sitting here, in my kiddie pool, sipping my vodka tonic,
Staring at my neighbors who are clothed, quite ironic.
Captain Johnson's at the mast while Harry's at the helm.
And they sail away towards new horizons.
Aboard the S.S. Jonnycock
Sitting here, in my kiddie pool, relaxing in a warm spot
making bubbles that rock the boat
oh no! She's run aground
near a cartoon turtle
that knows not of the danger exposed.
Sitting here in my kiddie pool, the wife is getting mad
for what was for our son becomes mine instead.
So my legs stick out and the plastic cracks
and the cartoon turtle finds his peril
in the unmowed grass.
Sitting here in my kiddie pool, empty and dry
water long since lost to the sky
chalky chlorine staining my skin
the neighbors stare at me, shaking their heads
They know not of the danger exposed
They'll soon see, they'll soon pay
They'll rue the day they ever messed with me.
